Where Lived Experience Shapes Professional Practice

Supervision, Counselling, Training, and Workshops for professionals, whānau, and individuals— grounded in lived experience, resilience, and compassion

Kia Ora and Welcome

We're Sandra and Petar — parents, registered health practitioners, and advocates who intimately understand what it means to navigate complex systems, hold onto hope, and the challenges of building partnership with professionals — where all voices are heard.

Our twin daughters, Amanda and Sonia, were born in 1979. Their lives — shaped by intellectual disability, chronic health conditions, and the impact of mental illness — have profoundly shaped us, not just as parents, but as professionals committed to building bridges between families and practitioners.

We know what it's like to sit outside closed doors while decisions are made about people you love. We know the weight of judgment, the pain of being excluded from partnerships, and the long-term impact of decisions made without families at the table.

This lived experience, combined with our 70+ years of professional practice across disability, mental health, and social services, drives everything we do. We're here to build bridges of understanding, provide practical tools for authentic communication, and create spaces where families and professionals can work together with dignity, respect, and hope.
